What are your favourite foods and drinks that remind you of Spain, I love fish and chorizo and the amazing and cheap white wine here. I love the fact that you can pick the oranges from the trees and by the fruit from the side of the road. What about you?

A country ruled by Spain for 300 years, 80% of Philippine dishes are Spanish in origin. It is mostly reflected during town Fiestas. During the festival one can see Relleno, Morcon, Paella, Callos, Embutido, Caldereta, etc.prepared in a table.

I have a special place in my heart for oranges and Spain's oranges are some of the finest in the world.

How about an easy Gazpacho Recipe to try?

Gazpacho Recipe

Serves six

You will need:

* 2 large tomatoes (about 1 kg)
* 1 medium cucumber, peeled if the skin is tough, and roughly
* chopped
* 1 red or green pepper, seeded and chopped
* One medium onion
* 3-4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
* 1-2 cloves garlic
* 5 tablespoons water (vary the amount according to the consistency you prefer)
* 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (preferably Spanish)

Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Sieve the puree. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

Some people add bread, which has been soaked and then squeezed. This gives the soup a thicker consistency.

It really sounds great, doesn't it? Makes you want to try it!!
